Zota Beach Resort Daycation

Zota Beach Resort

Hi friends! Last weekend I had the pleasure of visiting Zota Beach Resort in Longboat Key for a “daycation”. If you follow me over on Instagram you may have seen that I brought along one of my best friends, Michelle and we had such an amazing experience! My husband and I love staycations from when we lived in Vegas to now in St. Pete, but this is my first ever daycation. A lot of hotels that we’ve stayed at allow guests only for the pool and private beaches, so to be able to have access to the amenities for the day without having to book for a full night was awesome! Here’s what is included in the daycation:

  • Access to the oceanfront infinity pool and huge hot tub as well as lounge chairs with towels and umbrellas with poolside food & beverage service.
  • Access to the private beach- including 2 beach chairs.
  • Guest room for the day (10am-4pm)- perfect to take a break from the sun, rinse off, nap, change clothes.
  • Complimentary valet and parking.
  • Use of hammocks and recreational games (including giant chess and corn hole).

The cost is $99 for the day per group, which is such a great deal for all of this!

The drive was only about an hour from where we live in St. Pete and most of the way was scenic over bridges and by the water. We arrived at Zota Beach Resort and pulled right up to the complimentary valet with 2 attendants ready to assist us. We walked in to the beautiful lobby and were greeted by the hotel manager, we checked in to our room for the day within minutes. The resort has a modern, luxurious vibe and everything is clean, bright and beautiful. Our room was on the 4th floor with an amazing view of the pool and the beach!

The guest rooms are very spacious and reflect the natural beauty of the beachfront paradise. We just loved the bathroom -seriously major inspiration on our next bathroom remodel at home! The bed was comfy too! We didn’t nap on it but used for a fun bestie pic in our fav Honeymoon Hats 🙂

Next we headed down to the pool area to get a lay of the land. There were several lounges and large sitting areas as well as open hammocks to relax on all surrounded by palm trees. They also have a life size chess board and corn hole. The whole area is just steps to the beach!

Zota also offers poolside cabanas which come complete with large comfortable couches, a big screen TV, a safe for your valuables, a fan, and a refrigerator stocked with water that has room to store anything else you need kept cold. They vary in size and would be perfect for a group! There is an additional charge for these, but would be well worth it, especially with a family or group of friends. We got to try one out for the day and loved it!

After touring around the property we decided it was time to take a dip in the infinity pool! This was my favorite part of the day! We ordered a couple tropical cocktails and just relaxed in the sun:) Perfect for some catching up with one of my long time friends. Not only did the server stop by for drink refills and waters but they also offered to take a few pics too! Our favorite drinks were the Zota-Rita, the Blueberry Mojito, and the Strawberry Mo-Tito!

Now we were starving, so time for lunch! The resort has two restaurants, Cascades Pool Bar, which has appy’s, bites, salads, and sandwiches and there is Viento, which offers a “Floribbean” culinary concept influenced by Florida, Caribbean, and Mediterranean cooking techniques and flavors. Since we were just out of the pool we decided to sit at the pool bar and get a couple of bites. We split the crab cakes and the quesadilla and both were so tasty! The bartenders were also very attentive and gave us so much info on the property and surrounding area.

After our relaxing lunch we headed out to the beach where they have the cutest striped umbrellas and lounge chairs overlooking the golden sand and a beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico. The beach was not crowded at all, even for a Saturday! This is my happy place.

We spent the rest of our time back in the pool with sunshine and good times! I can not say enough amazing things about our daycation experience and the service at Zota Beach Resort. Every employee was so hospitable and really went above and beyond, the property is beautiful and the location is perfectly placed in paradise. Whether you are looking for a tropical getaway, a staycation, or a daycation I would recommend this resort. We are already planning our next trip back with our husbands and friends! Hope to see you there!
